The brand MarHam derives its name from the fusion of Marcia Hamilton’s first and last name.
MarHam represents a pinnacle of luxury bespoke fashion catering to both men and women. Alongside our custom-made offerings, we provide alteration services and curate small batches of ready-to-wear garments.
Marcia Hamilton, a renowned fashion designer, hails from the vibrant city of Kingston, Jamaica. Her journey into the world of fashion commenced under the tutelage of her grandmother, who crafted straw baskets. At the tender age of 8, Marcia began earning from her sewing skills, initially crafting baskets and later creating clothes for her dolls.
Following her passion, Marcia pursued formal education in fashion design at the esteemed Jamaica School of Fashion. This laid the foundation for her to establish her own fashion studio in Halfway-Tree, Kingston, where her entrepreneurial spirit and creative fervor flourished.
In 2007, Marcia embarked on a new chapter by migrating to the United States, driven by the pursuit of opportunities and her enduring fashion aspirations. Despite momentarily veering from her sewing endeavors to pursue a fulfilling career in healthcare, her passion for design remained steadfast.
In 2021, upon relocating to Phoenix from California, Marcia seized the opportunity to reignite her lifelong love affair with sewing and fashion design. Today, fueled by her unwavering dedication and entrepreneurial zeal, Marcia continues to breathe life into MarHam, crafting exquisite garments that embody her boundless creativity and unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.
